Tyson McGuffin grew up as a competitive wrestler, but he later found he enjoyed tennis and even played competitively at his junior college. (In fact, Tyson was so taken by tennis that he passed up a wrestling scholarship.) After some time as a tennis instructor, he was introduced to the sport of Pickleball.
Tyson immediately took to the sport, and he turned pro after just six months. Success came quickly as well: He played his first USAPA Nationals tournament and won Silver in Men’s Open Singles within his 1st year of turning pro. Today, Tyson is the #1 ranked Singles player, #2 ranked Mixed Doubles player and #3 ranked Men’s Doubles player. When he isn’t playing in tournaments, you can find him serving as an IPTPA and PPR certified instructor for LevelUp Pickleball Camps.
