Sam Shropshire

Sam started playing tennis when he was just four years old. His mom, a former professional tennis player herself, helped teach him the basics of the sport and steered him towards a base of solid coaching that would benefit him throughout his tennis journey. Before university, Sam played junior tennis in the middle states section, and after graduating high school, he played at Northwestern University for all four years. He finished at Northwestern in the spring of 2017, and today he competes professionally while living in Tampa, Florida.

Athletic Achievements:

  • All Big Ten 2014-17 (One of three players in Northwestern history to achieve 4 consecutive years)
  • Big Ten Freshman of the year
  • Regional Freshman of the year
  • 2016 NCAA singles Round of 32

“I’ve been using SaltStick for the last six years because it does exactly what it says. SaltStick lets me to push my limits without having to worry about muscle cramps and heat fatigue. I never go on court for a match without it!”
